A 21-year-old young man died on Monday while practicing speed riding, above the resort of Val d'Isère (Savoie).
The accident occurred mid-morning in an area reserved for practice, reports

The victim, who reportedly had a sailing problem, crashed into some rocks.
A rescue device was deployed with station trackers and a crew from the CRS Alpes.
The latter could not do anything, the Savoyard died instantly.
Fourth death since the start of winter
The circumstances of the accident are still unclear.
Few testimonies could be collected.
According to them, the young man was an experienced practitioner.
Speed riding is an extreme sport that combines paragliding and skiing.
This new fatal accident is the fourth since the start of winter in the Savoie department.
