A guide in Braille to educate blind retirees in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, in cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, represented by its Department of Welfare of the Blind, launched a guide in Braille for the blind with the aim of educating the insured with visual challenges about the retirement law and system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as part of the Fund's efforts to promote Cooperating with all concerned parties and institutions and spreading awareness about the retirement law among the various categories of customers, and in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership, to support and empower people of determination at all levels, by providing all facilities, developing a mechanism for communication with them and providing them with appropriate services.

The guide deals with the rights and duties of the insured in the Retirement Law in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the conditions for entitlement to the retirement pension and end of service benefits, and other important information that enhances their awareness of the retirement system and law in the Emirate.

The issuance of the guide also comes as a continuation of the series of services provided by the Fund to various categories of people of determination, and is the second initiative of the Fund in the awareness publications for People of Determination. During the past year, it issued a series of short awareness films supported by “sign language” for people of determination of the deaf category, in addition to To the digital facilities and advantages available to them on the fund's website.

The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, Khalaf Abdullah Rahma Al Hammadi, affirmed the fund's keenness to enhance awareness of the retirement law in the emirate among various segments of society, especially people of determination, for which the fund works to provide exceptional and proactive services to them, noting that the fund has allocated a number of exclusive services. For this important group of society in order to facilitate the mechanism for their access to information and services through the digital channels of the Fund in ways appropriate to their circumstances and needs.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, Abdullah Abdul-Aali Al-Humaidan, affirmed the institution’s keenness to participate in community activities and in all campaigns of interest to members of society and to contribute through the Department of Welfare of the Blind, which owns the only printing press in the country that prints all versions in Braille to deliver the message Awareness for groups of people with visual challenges who benefit from the work of the printing press, within the framework of the community support it provides, explaining that the printing of books, awareness brochures and publications of various classifications in Braille comes within the framework of the efforts of the Zayed Higher Organization through which it seeks to empower and integrate all groups of people of determination, especially those with special needs. visual challenges in society, 

The Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization praised the fruitful cooperation between the Foundation and the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund for the benefit of the blind of people of determination, and this important initiative, which comes as a culmination of the efforts of the Fund in serving customers of determination, and welcomed the cooperation with various authorities and institutions in the country that wish to convert their brochures and publications into a language Braille with the aim of integrating the blind culturally and socially, and in order to provide quality and distinguished services to the blind. He said: Providing information and knowledge in Braille for the blind helps in implementing the policy of cultural and social integration and contributes to its success and upgrading the level of services provided to our children of determination in accordance with the most effective global practices.
