In Corsica, two days after the funeral of Yvan Colonna, the tension is still there.

Two demonstrations took place yesterday and a new rally is planned for this afternoon in Furiani, in Haute-Corse.

Since yesterday, the publication of a video where we can observe CRS singing "La Marseillaise" on the day of Yvan Colonna's funeral, has sparked controversy.

Condemnation of Corsican elected officials 

A video that has been authenticated.

There are two videos circulating with two different angles.

For the moment, no disciplinary or administrative investigation has been ordered.

The facts took place the same day of the funeral of Yvan Colonna but the time is still unknown.

The deputy of Haute-Corse Jean-Félix Acquaviva calls the government to account.

"Femu a Corsica", the autonomist party of Gilles Simeoni, who leads the island, also condemns.

For its part, the Corsican Nation Party is asking for clarification.

Strong tensions on the island

The separatist parties call on the Corsicans to participate massively in rallies, especially at the end of the afternoon in front of the CRS barracks in Furiani.

On the island, the video went viral.

The CRS in question were in civilian clothes and participating in a well-watered barbecue.

They sang La Marseillaise and the nursery rhyme "Alouette! Jolie lark!".

Arrived from Brittany, these police officers had only been on the island for a few days.

They did not experience the violent clashes that erupted when Yvan Colonna's attack was announced at the beginning of the month.
