Erdogan stressed the need for an early ceasefire to achieve peace and to improve the humanitarian situation in the region, and said Turkey would continue to make every possible contribution in the process.
Erdogan and Putin have agreed that the next round of meetings of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiating team will be held in Istanbul, Turkey's largest city.
