The Presidential Transition Committee strongly urged the current government to submit to the National Assembly an additional supplementary budget for compensation for corona losses.
Shin Yong-hyeon, spokesperson for the transition committee, said at a regular briefing, "The transition committee strongly requests that the current government submit an additional budget bill to the National Assembly."
Spokesperson Shin said, "The transition committee has already ordered the speedy preparation of the supplementary budget at the time of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance's business report on the 24th. .
Regarding the size of the supplementary budget, he said, "We will support in a sufficient size to ensure fair and complete loss compensation, but the exact size has not been determined at this time."
While President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol formalized the promotion of a second supplementary budget worth 50 trillion won, it is reported that the current government is not in a position to submit a second supplementary budget bill to the National Assembly during the term of President Moon Jae-in.
