Presidential Transition Committee has officially requested the government to organize an additional budget for compensation for COVID-19 losses.

[Shin Yong-hyun / Spokesperson of the transition committee: The transition committee strongly requests that the current government submit a supplementary budget bill to the National Assembly.] As it became

known that the Ministry of Strategy and Finance had expressed reluctance to organize additional supplementary budgets within the current government's tenure for reasons such as deterioration of fiscal soundness and rising prices. It came under pressure.

Since budget formation is the exclusive authority of the executive branch, if the government refuses to submit the agenda to the National Assembly, discussion itself is impossible.

For this reason, there are also observations that whether or not to organize a supplementary budget may spark another new and old power conflict.

Dissonance between the commission and other institutions is increasing one by one.

The transition committee said that it had requested a meeting with the National Election Commission regarding the poor management of advance voting for confirmed cases during the last presidential election, but it was rejected.

He said he had informed the Central Election Commission that he would not accept it, saying it was misleading ahead of the local elections in June.

The Ministry of Justice work report, which had been canceled due to Minister Park Beom-gye's opposition to promises such as 'abolition of the investigative authority', was confirmed tomorrow (29th) at 2 pm.

In the midst of this, President-elect Yoon decided to send a policy consultation delegation to the United States next month before taking office.

The transition committee explained that the delegation led by Rep. Park Jin of People's Power plans to discuss security issues with key figures in the US administration and Congress and draw a sketch for the Korea-US summit.
