China News Agency, Taipei, March 27. Taiwan's "epidemic command center" announced on the 27th that 83 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were added, the highest number of new local cases in a single day since the 88 cases on June 27 last year. There are multiple outbreaks.

There were 120 new cases imported from abroad.

According to media reports such as China Times News and Lianhe Daily, 52 of the new local cases that day belonged to a cluster of foreign workers in a power plant in Taoyuan.

Because these workers lived in dormitories in Hsinchu County, the confirmed cases were counted as confirmed cases in Hsinchu County.

Another 19 cases belonged to the cluster cases derived from Keelung snack bars.

In the mass gathering case, the police had visited the restaurant for dinner, which led to a mass gathering case at the Keelung Police Station.

Among the newly confirmed cases on the 27th, 6 were police officers.

The remaining confirmed cases are distributed in Kaohsiung, New Taipei, Taitung and other places.

According to reports, the source of infection has not been clarified at present, such as the Keelung police station cluster case, the Hsinchu Taoyuan foreign worker cluster case, and the Taitung family cluster case.

As of the 27th, a total of 22,769 new coronary pneumonia cases have been confirmed in Taiwan, including 15,654 local cases and 853 deaths.
