China News Agency, Beijing, March 27. On March 27 local time, Nepalese President Bhandari met with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi who was visiting Nepal at the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu.

  Bhandari asked Wang Yi to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping, saying that he still remembers President Xi Jinping's historic visit to Nepal in 2019.

She said that the friendship between Nepal and China has a long history and we are the best neighbors and friends.

Nepal is sincerely happy for China's achievements and has benefited a lot from China's development. Nepal will always be committed to developing friendly relations with China and continue to unswervingly adhere to the one-China policy.

I would like to thank China for its selfless assistance to Nepal's economic and social development, especially the post-earthquake rescue and reconstruction and the fight against the new crown epidemic. Whenever Nepal encounters difficulties, China always lends a helping hand in a timely manner.

The Nepali side is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the outcomes of President Xi Jinping's visit to Nepal, promote the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and turn the mountains and rivers between the two countries into channels connecting each other rather than obstacles blocking the two sides.

  Wang Yi first conveyed the cordial greetings and best wishes from President Xi Jinping.

Wang Yi said that China and Nepal are good relatives, good friends and good partners, with a friendship that lasts for thousands of years.

The two sides have always supported and helped each other, setting a model for countries big and small to treat each other as equals, respect each other and cooperate for win-win results.

After the 2015 Nepal earthquake, the Chinese rescue team went to Nepal for the first time.

When I went to Nepal to attend the International Conference on Reconstruction in Nepal, I made a special trip to visit and express condolences to the disaster-stricken people in Nepal who were placed in Chinese aid tents.

I told the children in Nepal that beyond the mountain is the brother's China, and we will do our best to help you rebuild your homeland as soon as possible.

China cherishes the traditional friendship between China and Nepal, and will continue to firmly support Nepal in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty and national dignity, exploring a development path that suits its own interests, and pursuing independent domestic and foreign policies.

  Bhandari said that the Nepali side appreciates the CPC's consistent adherence to the path of democratic development and its commitment to seeking happiness for the people and progress for mankind.

We never agree with the smearing of China and the Chinese Communist Party by some international forces.

I wish and firmly believe that the Chinese way and the Chinese model will achieve greater success.

  Wang Yi stressed that the Communist Party of China has been firmly committed to promoting democracy and protecting human rights since its birth, and has made unremitting efforts to this end.

Because of this, the Communist Party of China has always received the broadest support and support from the Chinese people.

China has found an effective path to develop socialist democratic politics that suits its own national conditions, and has successfully realized the combination of electoral democracy and deliberative democracy, process democracy and outcome democracy, procedural democracy and substantive democracy, and direct and indirect democracy.
