"It's actually Lee Jae-myung's victory!"

On the evening of the 24th, after the Democratic Party's primary primary, when I asked a multi-elected middle-level lawmaker for his opinion on the election results, he got the same answer.

"There will be some degree of (power) movement," he added.

Rep. Park Hong-geun, 'Lee Jae-myung-gye', is the winner of the Democratic Party's primary primary.

As a third-term member of Seoul's 'Jungnang-eul', he was originally classified as 'Park Won-soon-gye', but after the death of former Seoul Mayor Park, he was the first among the leaders to express his intention to support the then presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.

After that, he served as the secretary general of the candidate Lee Jae-myung's primary campaign, establishing himself as the core of 'Lee Jae-myung'.

The loser was Rep. Park Gwang-on, 'Kim-moon Lee Nak-yeon'.

This election was held as a proxy match for 'Lee Jae-myung' vs 'Pro-Moon-Lee Nak-Kye', and because of that, the result was evaluated as "not the defeat of Park Kwang-On, but the defeat of 'Pro-Moon-Lee Nak-Yeon'. In fact, immediately after the last 21st general election Considering the fact that 'originator Lee Jae-myung-gye' Jeong Seong-ho received 9 votes in the presidential primary, the rise of 'Lee Jae-myung-gye' is surprising.

"The real 'Lee Jae-myung's Democratic Party'"

It is known that floor leader Park Hong-geun received relatively high support from key aides of the party's standing adviser Lee Jae-myung, the so-called 'seven members', and 'Park Won-soon-gye', some 'Lee Hae-chan-gye', and a group of first-time lawmakers.

It was also found that some lawmakers belonging to the 'Better Future (The Future)', the largest faction within the party, also contributed.

It is also said that a multi-term senior female lawmaker expressed her intention to support Park's representative and actively persuaded her junior female lawmakers.

This is an indication that the influence of Advisor Jae-myung Lee has permeated to various classes within the party as well.

One newly elected female lawmaker said,

"I saw the time for change. And, in the end, shouldn't it be centered on Lee Jae-myung (adviser)? The reality is the reality. We need to unite,”

he said, explaining why he supported floor leader Park.

Floor Leader Park also did not hide his intention to continue the promise and philosophy of Advisor Jae-myung Lee.

Immediately after the election, he said

, "I lost the election, but I think the promises made by Lee Jae-myung to the people during the election are also precious

. "

One 'Lee Jae-myung' first-elected lawmaker asked, "Even if (Lee Jae-myung) doesn't come to the front right now, won't he become a real 'Lee Jae-myung's Democratic Party' only now?

"

and "How do you view it as a reporter?"

Another first-elected member of the Honam constituency went a little further and said,

"Now we need to create a Democratic Party for Lee Jae-myung, by Lee Jae-myung, and for Lee Jae-myung

. "

'Moon Jae-in's model'

"With Park Hong-geun's victory, the steam is sufficient. Now, we can complain. Then it explodes. It won't take long."

These are the words of a re-elected lawmaker who worked hard to help adviser Lee Jae-myung during the last presidential election.

When asked, 'If Yoo Steam is the victory of floor leader Park, is fire the party leader running for advisor Lee Jae-myung?'

Another member of 'Lee Jae-myung-gye' said, "

I think I'll

run for office (in the party representative election in August). From my point of view, I think it's very strong."

After serving as the centerpiece of the party along with Minority Leader Park in the local elections, this adviser strongly discussed the route of running for the August National Convention.

In fact, it was found that the adviser recently met with key aides to discuss his next political move, including running for party leader.

If this adviser challenges the party's leadership and takes control of the party, the 'lack of experience in central politics', which has been evaluated as an Achilles heel, can be overcome.

In fact, many of the Democratic lawmakers I met during the coverage process predicted that Lee would walk the path of re-challenging for the presidency after becoming the party leader.

The analysis is that it will follow the so-called 'Moon Jae-in model'. After losing the 2012 presidential election, President Moon took power in 2015 and eventually won the 2017 presidential election.

"Let's be reborn as a strong opposition party"

It can be said that the success of such a so-called 'first party, then presidency' strategy will depend on what the Democratic Party will look like in the future.

Minority Leader Park has consistently advocated for a 'strong Democratic Party' since the day she cast her vote for the primary.

In his acceptance speech, he

said ,

"I will surely create a 'strong opposition party' that takes responsibility for reform and people's livelihood to meet the expectations of the people."

(※ Although there were many evaluations that the candidates for the Democratic

Party's primary election were generally moderate, among them, Park's representative has been rated as 'good in combat'.

It seems highly likely that he will inherit the promises he made during his candidacy, such as people's livelihood reform and political, prosecutorial, and media reform.

In particular, as Rep. Jin Seong-joon, who is classified as a 'real estate hardliner', was appointed as the senior vice-president of the House, this analysis seems to be gaining more power.

The moment Park's floor leader moves toward a 'strong opposition', a clash with the people's power to seize the political leadership after his victory in the presidential election is inevitable.

The fact that the People's Power will elect a new floor leader on the 29th of next month also increases the possibility of a 'Kang Dae-gang' confrontation.

This is because, in a 'yeo-so-yadae' government, strong combat power will also be an essential virtue for the new ruling party in power.

A Seoul-area re-elected lawmaker said, "A hard drive will be unavoidable both for Park himself and for his advisor Lee Jae-myung. On the other side (People's Power), 'Yun Seok-yeol's aide' Kwon Seong-dong (4th term) or 'pro-park hardliner' Kim Tae-heum (3rd term) Senator) seems like a strong candidate, but whoever it is, the outcome will be different from that of advisor Lee Jae-myung. You will have to ride the one line between consultation and struggle, coolness and passion."

Only the negative limit

Following last year's re-election and by-elections until this election, the people one after another have turned their attention away from the Democratic Party.

This is a painful reality that has happened in just one or two years before the cheers of the overwhelming victory in the 2020 general election have disappeared.

In this way, the public sentiment is cold and scary.

In regards to the public dissent against the Democratic Party, Jun-man Kang, an emeritus professor in the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting at Chonbuk National University, said in a recent book:

"Thanks to the performance of 'K-Quarantine', we won a landslide victory in the 2020 general election, but we misunderstood it as a license saying 'you can do whatever you want', and added fun to the 'legislative dictatorship' that tried to push only by force."

In fact, if you look at the major policies that have been controversial so far, there are some points that nod your head.

A typical example is real estate policy.

The tax burden has increased, loans have been tightened, and the barriers to entry for reconstruction and redevelopment have been raised.

However, the market responded with the appearance of 'expansion', saying, "The policy has failed miserably."

Of course, it is perfectly natural and desirable to regulate what is excessive and punish what is wrong.

The problem was that we focused only on the negatives.

There were 'negatives' that punish and punish, but it was difficult to find creative and innovative 'positives'.

There is a lack of preparation for examining the emotions, desires, and desires of our people for real estate, considering the number of cases, and how to respond to unexpected variables.

The disappointment doesn't stop there.

Kim Sang-jo, who was at the forefront of the 'negative', was sacked after raising the total price of his Gangnam apartment by 120 million won or 14 percent two days before the enforcement of the so-called 'Lease 3 Act'.

Dr. Woo Seok-hoon, an economist who is the author of '880,000 Won Generation', lamented, "What kind of ridiculous thing is this to come out into the world as a hero yelling at Samsung's general shareholders' meeting and return home with an idiot?"

The Democratic Party needs to ponder whether this problem was only a matter of real estate policy.

We need to reflect on our own judgments and communication regarding other policies and other fields.

In conclusion, the Democrats have failed.

It has failed to win the hearts of the people.

That too in succession.

Failure is not a problem.

It failed because there was a problem.

So, you have to think deeply about what the problem was, and try not to make the same mistake again.

It is not only for the Democratic Party, but ultimately for all the people.

I look forward to the appearance of a 'reasonable and healthy opposition party'.
