Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a video interview with Russian media on the 27th local time.

At the meeting, President Zelensky said he wanted to compromise with Russia on the Donbass issue, which has been controlled by pro-Russian separatist rebels.

He also said that he could discuss the neutralization of Ukraine as part of a peace treaty with Russia.

However, it was placed on the premise that neutralization must be guaranteed by a third party and that it must be decided through a referendum.

The Russian-Ukrainian negotiators agreed to continue the fifth round of negotiations in Turkey from the 28th to the 30th.

Previously, it is known that the delegations of the two countries narrowed their differences in issues such as withdrawing Ukraine's attempt to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and NATO through four rounds of negotiations.

However, they have not been able to narrow their differences of opinion on territorial issues such as the Krem Peninsula, which Russia annexed by force in 2014, or the recognition of independence of regions occupied by pro-Russian rebels.
