France, beaten in the final by England last year (10-6 at Twickenham) enters the fray on Sunday at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble against Italy (4:00 p.m.).

In Scotland, the English delivered a demonstration, scoring nine tries.

The Welsh for their part passed five to the Irish, who still managed three.

On the second day, France will host Ireland in Toulouse (April 2), Wales will host Scotland in Cardiff (April 2) and England will play in Italy, in Parma (April 3).

The Women's Tournament, which does not follow the men's schedule, will be contested over six weeks, until the end of April.

The teams will then be able to prepare for the Mondial-2021, postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The competition will take place from October 8 to November 12, in New Zealand.
