The lifeless body of
Silvia Soriano Morente,
the 24-year-old girl from Yecla who had been missing for a week, has been found in the water of the Westerpark in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.
Apparently her body showed no signs of violence.
The confirmation of the tragic outcome came through the
Amsterdam Police
Twitter account.
"Unfortunately, this afternoon
the remains of Silvia Soriano Morente, 24, who had been
missing since March 19, were found in the water of the
Westerpark ."
"An investigation has shown that
Silvia did not die as a result of a crime.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us, shared information and our messages about the disappearance. We wish the relatives a lot of strength," they add in the statement.
The Amsterdam Police have been looking for the 24-year-old since March 19, when she was last seen on March 19, at 8:50 p.m., in the Westerpark, according to sources from the
Dutch 112.
On the day of her disappearance, the young woman had visited the fair in Westerpark on Saturday afternoon and then moved to a café on the
Van Hogendorpstraat.
