At the age of 18, Huang Chengwei, a young Taiwanese who came to the mainland to study alone with a suitcase on his back, never imagined that in the next ten years or so, he would take root and sprout like a seed on the land of mainland China.

Today, he has two identities, "mainland dentist" and "Taiwan son-in-law".

Born and raised in Yilan, Taiwan, Chengwei Huang, who was born and raised in Yilan, Taiwan, took part in the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan joint entrance examination in 2005 with the support of his family, and was admitted to Nanjing Medical University as a major in stomatology. His mainland study path.

It was also this study experience that made Huang Chengwei decide to take root in the mainland.

After graduating from university, Huang Chengwei was admitted to the Southern Medical University for a master's degree, and after completing his studies, he worked in the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Stomatology.

In a professional competition in the industry, Huang Chengwei met Xiong Yue, a girl from Guizhou who is also a colleague.

In 2018, the two entered the marriage hall hand in hand.

Later, Huang Chengwei and his wife returned to Guiyang, Guizhou for development together. Now they both work in the Stomatological Hospital of Guizhou Medical University.

Since studying in 2005, Huang Chengwei admitted that his biggest psychological change was from a stranger to a "family member".

"When I first came to the mainland, my classmates and friends liked to ask me how Taiwan was, and now more Taiwanese friends are asking me about the mainland. I think this is also a testimony to how our mainland's economy has taken off, and our Soft power has also taken off, and the people of Taiwan can also feel this." Huang Chengwei said.

Today, Huang Chengwei, who is now living and working in Guizhou, hopes that in the future, in addition to "escorting" the oral health of the local people, he and his wife will continue to be a bridge connecting the two sides of the strait.
