New law on mandatory ID marking is welcomed by the cat home in Halmstad

- We have fought for this team for almost 18 years, says Lotta Alexander, director of Kattfoten's cat home in Halmstad.

At the beginning of March, the Swedish Parliament decided that it should be mandatory for all cat owners to ID their cat and register it with the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

The law will enter into force on January 1, 2023.
