Biden receives two Ukrainian ministers in Warsaw

US President Joe Biden will participate in Warsaw in a meeting between US Secretary of State and Defense Anthony Blinken and Lloyd Austin and their Ukrainian counterparts, the White House announced.

"This morning, President Biden will participate in the meeting between Secretary Blinken and Austin, Secretary of State Dmytro Kuleba, and Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov," the White House said in an email on the second day of Biden's visit to Poland.

This will be Biden's first meeting with senior Ukrainian officials since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

Biden is scheduled to deliver a speech this afternoon at the Warsaw Royal Palace.

Biden arrived in Poland on Friday at the conclusion of a series of international meetings in Brussels. Friday, he met US soldiers stationed in southeastern Poland and praised the courage of the Ukrainian people, saying that they remind him of the Tiananmen events in China in 1989, repeating his description of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a war criminal.
