  Health workers who have left Ukraine will be allowed to work in health care in Italian hospitals or private clinics, according to a temporary decree issued by the Italian government's cabinet.

  Filippo Anelli, president of the Italian National Federation of Surgeons and Dentists (FNOMCEO), said the measure was very important.

He stressed that legislation requiring medical professionals to be vaccinated against Covid-19 is an essential requirement to work in Italy.

  Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese also said that so far, about 67,000 refugees have arrived in Italy from Ukraine.

90% of them are women and children.
