The three Ica profiles from Småland are now requested to be detained on probable cause on suspicion of a serious insider crime.

The suspected crimes are said to have taken place in 2021, when the Ica traders' union together with the pension giant AMF prepared to bid to buy ICA from the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

Raid on the head office

It was on Tuesday that the Economic Crimes Authority and the police raided the ICA Traders' Association's head office in Solna, which Dagens industri was the first to report.

Thirteen people were arrested on suspicion of insider trading in connection with the attack, and on Friday seven people are requested to be detained.

In addition to the three Smålanders, there are three people from Blekinge and one from Östergötland.

Crimes took place during the autumn

Court documents show that the suspected crimes took place in the autumn of 2021, from 3 September to the day before the bid for ICA was made, ie 9 November.

The three ICA profiles resident in Småland have not been convicted of any crime since before and arrest proceedings are ongoing on Friday.
