  According to the South Korean Joint Staff Headquarters, the ICBM tested by North Korea that day has a maximum flight altitude of about 6,200 kilometers and a flight distance of about 1,080 kilometers.

  The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that in response to the North Korean missile test, the South Korean military launched missiles from land, sea and air in the eastern waters of the Korean Peninsula that afternoon, showing the ability and will to respond immediately.

  South Korea's presidential Blue House issued a statement on the 24th, saying that President Moon Jae-in presided over an emergency meeting of the National Security Council that afternoon and condemned the North Korean side's test-fire behavior.

He urged North Korea to return to the path of dialogue and diplomatic settlement as soon as possible.

  According to reports from the Korean Central News Agency and information from the South Korean side, from January 5 this year to this launch, North Korea has conducted 7 missile tests and 2 reconnaissance satellite launch tests.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff reported on the 16th of this month that North Korea conducted a test launch of an unknown projectile that day, but did not specify the nature of the projectile.
