China News Agency, Moscow, March 25 (Reporter Tian Bing) The Russian Ministry of Defense held a briefing on the situation of the special military operation in Ukraine for a month on the 25th.

The Russian military stated that its main tasks in the first phase of its military operation in Ukraine have been generally completed, and the Russian military will continue to operate as planned until all tasks are completed.

Rutskoy, the first deputy chief of staff of the Russian Armed Forces and director of the General Directorate of Operations, reported that since the special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, the Russian army has lost a total of 5,176 people, of which 1,351 soldiers were killed and 3,825 were injured. .

Ukraine lost about 30,000 people, including 14,000 dead and 16,000 wounded.

Rutskoy said that the "demilitarization" of Ukraine is mainly achieved through high-precision strikes against targets such as Ukrainian military infrastructure, military units, airports, command posts, and military warehouses, as well as through the defeat of opponents by troops.

16 major Ukrainian military airports were destroyed, and 39 military warehouses and storage bases were destroyed, including 70% of military equipment and fuel stocks, as well as more than one million tons of ammunition.

In addition, a large number of Ukrainian fighter planes, anti-aircraft missile systems, tanks and armored vehicles and various artillery were destroyed.

Currently, the Ukrainian air force and air defense systems are almost completely destroyed, and the navy no longer exists.

Rutskoy said that the supply of weapons by Western countries to Ukraine "is a huge mistake", and its real purpose is not to support Ukraine, but to drag it into a long-term military conflict.

He warned that the Russian military would respond in an "appropriate manner" to proposals by individual NATO members to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

He also said that the number of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine is decreasing, given the high-precision strikes by the Russian military on training bases and camps.

At present, 6,595 foreign mercenaries from 62 countries are active in Ukraine, and the Russian army will ruthlessly eliminate them.

The head of the National Defense Command Center of the Russian Federation, Mizhantsev, said that starting from March 4, Russia has provided humanitarian corridors in the directions of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol every day. .

Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, said that the Russian military strictly follows the established plan for military operations, focusing on avoiding civilian casualties and the destruction of civilian facilities.

The Russian army will continue to carry out military operations until all tasks are completed.
