Forty firefighters still mobilized for a fire in Valdeblore

This Friday morning, around forty firefighters and a water bomber helicopter are still mobilized in the town of Valdeblore, in the Alpes-Maritimes, for a fire that broke out on Thursday afternoon.

“About twenty hectares” has already burned, indicated to 

the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) 06. The origins of this disaster, still in progress, are not yet known.

At the beginning of February, the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes was alarmed by "the state of dryness of the vegetation" which could facilitate the occurrence of fires and had announced to put the department on "drought vigilance" a fortnight ago.
