A driver accused of having fled the gendarmes, his 7-month-old baby on board

A man, suspected of having escaped a check the day before, was arrested and taken into police custody by the gendarmes on Wednesday in the Gard department,

learned  from the gendarmerie services.

The motorist is accused of having refused to submit to the orders of the gendarmes, in Poulx, a small town near Nîmes, and of having fled.

Her baby, 7 months old, was in the vehicle.

Chased for long minutes by the military, he is suspected of having taken very big risks to escape them, putting pedestrians and other motorists in danger.

The gendarmes were forced to abandon the pursuit, faced with the risks taken by the suspect.

But the soldiers knowing the vehicle of this man, very unfavorably known to justice, they were able to arrest him the next day.
