Early in the morning on Thursday, February 24, Russia launched a military invasion by order of President Vladimir Putin.

900 civilians have lost their lives

More than 3.5 million people have fled Ukraine.

More than 2 million have come to Poland, just over half a million to Romania and hundreds of thousands to Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia and Russia.

So far, almost twenty thousand have come to Sweden.

Every second, a child is forced to flee Ukraine, according to Unicef.

Since the outbreak of the war, the EU and Western countries have responded with extensive sanctions against Russia.

US President Joe Biden states that NATO has never been more united.

More than 900 civilians lost their lives during the first month of the war, according to the UN, which points out that the real figure is probably higher.
