Regarding the situation in Ukraine, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling for improvement of local humanitarian conditions such as protection of citizens with a majority of support from 140 countries.


On the other hand, 38 countries have abstained, and it is clear that many countries still consider relations with Russia.

On the 24th, an urgent special meeting was held at the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the resolution submitted by France and others calling for improvement of the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.



The resolution regrets the dire humanitarian situation brought about by Russia and calls for the immediate suspension of hostilities, the protection of civilians and private institutions, and the security of humanitarian assistance.



At the meeting, a total of about 70 countries gave speeches in two days, and then the resolution was passed. ▽ A

been adopted with more than two-thirds of the voting countries.



At the UN General Assembly, on the 2nd of this month, a resolution condemning Russia and calling for the immediate withdrawal of troops was adopted by 141 countries, and while almost the same number of countries agreed this time, the opposite was the previous time. The same 5 countries and abstentions have increased by 3 countries from the previous time.



In addition, at the meeting on this day, a resolution submitted by South Africa, which demanded the protection of citizens and private facilities but did not blame Russia by name, was also passed, and 67 countries including Europe and the United States were rejected. However, 50 countries such as Russia, China and Brazil agreed, and it became clear that many countries still consider relations with Russia.
