On March 23, 2018, a young terrorist killed four people in Carcassonne and in the Super U of Trèbes, before being shot.
The judges in charge of the case have just completed their investigation.
Eight people, members of the assailant's entourage, are indicted.
Four years ago, on March 23, 2018, Radouane Lakdim, a radicalized young man from Carcassonne fell into horror and killed four people.
He first stole a car not far from his home, shooting down its passenger and injuring its driver, before shooting at the police and then heading, a few kilometers away, towards the Super U in Trèbes.
There he executed a butcher and a customer, then the heroic Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Beltrame who had swapped places with a hostage.
The 25-year-old terrorist, whose murders were claimed by the Islamic State group, was shot dead on the spot.
And, four years later, the anti-terrorism investigating judges in charge of the case announced that they had completed their investigations.
The assailant's brother and girlfriend
In total, the magistrates indicted eight people, members of Radouane Lakdim's entourage, suspected to varying degrees of having helped him prepare his attacks.
Among the suspects, there is Marine P., converted to Islam at the age of 16 and girlfriend of the assailant.
The brother of the latter, in whose home weapons were found in a false ceiling, is also indicted.
Just like Samir M., an acquaintance suspected of having provided the knife which killed Arnaud Beltrame and of having cleaned Radouane Lakdim's room before the arrival of the investigators.
The civil parties were informed of the end of the investigation on March 9.
It is now up to the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) to take its requisitions before the referral of the suspects to an Assize Court.
