Hear the police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr about the ongoing mass stop.

On 23 August last year, a 35-year-old woman was assaulted and beaten very severely on the Södra sjöslingan south of Stora Delsjön.

The woman lost consciousness, and the violence is described as life-threatening.

At the crime scene, several tracks were secured, such as a pair of glasses and a cloth bag with print.

In addition, the technicians managed to secure DNA, which, however, did not give any hits in the police register.

Mast emptying

With the help of so-called mast emptying, the police know which telephones were connected in the area at that time.

The telephone owners will now be contacted, voluntarily undergoing testing, after which these DNA samples will be compared with DNA traces at the crime scene.

The purpose of the voluntary DNA testing is said on the police website to be to exclude people who have nothing to do with the crime.

But those who do not agree to be tops voluntarily will of course be more interesting for the investigators.

Looking for witnesses

The police have conducted a number of interrogations with people who were in the immediate area at the time of the attack, but still want to get in touch with those who have not yet been heard and who may have made observations.

The man suspected of the assault is believed to be in his 30s, fair-skinned, about 185 centimeters tall, normally built and well-trained.

He has short medium to dark blonde hair.

At the event, he wore a dark cap, a dark green or gray shirt and trousers in the same dark color.
