The Press Club has unveiled the first selection of the most hilarious phrases and tweets of the year, for the awarding of the "Press Club, Humor and Politics" Prize, created by Jean Miot.

Candidates Anne Hidalgo, Valérie Pécresse, MP Thierry Solère and government spokesperson Gabriel Attal are in the running.

Who said politics can't be funny?

If the presidential election represents a major challenge for France, the campaign reserves its share of comical anecdotes for each five-year term.

So the Press Club decided to give a political award to a political figure.

The concept ?

The "Press Club, Humor and Politics" Prize,

created by Jean Miot, rewards the author of the most hilarious sentence of the year, whether indiscriminately voluntary or involuntary humor. 

Who was chosen by the jury?

The candidates Anne Hidalgo, Fabien Roussel, Valérie Pécresse, the deputy Thierry Solère, or the government spokesperson Gabriel Attal are in the running.
