Mohammed bin Rashid meets the presidents of Namibia and the Co-operative Republic of Guyana at Expo 2020 Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met Thursday at Expo 2020 Dubai with His Excellency Heig Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, and His Highness met with His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Irfan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, as part of the framework A tour of the major international event, where His Highness also visited the pavilions of Palestine, Austria and Colombia

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Excellency the President of the Republic of Namibia reviewed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and the common desire to push them forward by discovering more partnership opportunities as these links represent new bridges to strengthen cooperation between the Gulf region and the continent of Africa in general, in a way that contributes to In increasing the volume of investment and trade exchange, as well as exchanging experiences in various development fields of common interest.

During his visit, His Highness and President Heig Geingop to the Namibia pavilion were briefed on the features offered by the friendly country located in West Africa and overlooking the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, about the features of life in the African country, which is rich in its natural environment and wide diversity, and information about its rich cultural and social heritage, as well as the opportunities that Namibia enjoys. An economic economy based on the natural resources and mineral wealth of its lands, while Namibia promotes its capabilities in the field of tourism and the blue economy, and the infrastructure projects it is implementing, as well as its productive and skilled human energy.   

Co-operative Republic of Guyana

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Irfan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, at his country's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, where His Highness welcomed the participation of the friendly country in the event that brings the world together in Dubai, and within the first participation of the Republic of Guyana in Expo in an independent pavilion, stressing the value of this participation in discovering new areas of cooperation between the two countries, while the Expo in general represents a platform from which the world embarks on a new stage of cooperation and coordination in order to create a better world full of opportunities and free from challenges.

His Highness went on to explain what the pavilion includes and what distinguishes the Cooperative Republic of Guyana as a leading destination for eco-tourism, and what is presented to him about its green development strategy as a path towards sustainable and comprehensive development, and its economic components that prompted the International Monetary Fund to place it in the ranks of the fastest growing countries during year 2021

فلسطين

وقام صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم بزيارة عدد من الأجنحة في معرض إكسبو تضمنت جناح  فلسطين المُقام في منطقة "الفرص"، والذي جاء تصميمه ومحتواه ليعكس أصالة الثقافة والتراث والتاريخ الفلسطيني العريق، إذ يقدم الجناح لمحة متكاملة عن أهم وأبرز معالم فلسطين، لاسيما مدينة القدس، وما تتميز به فلسطين من صناعات تراثية وحديثة و ازدهار لقطاع السياحة هناك وما يوفره من فرص استثمارية واعدة.

His Highness toured the pavilion bearing the slogan "a land rooted in history and embracing tourism and investment", where he was briefed on its distinctive content, especially its design that simulates traditional Palestinian streets, while the floor of the pavilion within its external courtyard was covered with the famous Palestinian stones with all their expressions of original.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, during the visit, saw some of the exhibits that reflect the ancient Palestinian history, including collectibles and exhibits brought from different regions of Palestine, including part of the original mosaic panel located in Jericho, the largest of its kind in the world and dating back to the Umayyad era And Dead Sea salt, rich in beneficial minerals, and glass and porcelain products, which are historical industries for which the city of Hebron was famous, while the "Al-Idrak" station in the pavilion offers a virtual tour of the most important attractions in Palestine.

His Highness expressed his admiration for what he saw in the pavilion of content that speaks of the ancient history of Palestine and highlights its efforts in the field of developing self-capabilities and economic resources, expressing his sincere wishes to the brotherly Palestinian people for a future full of stability, prosperity, development and growth.

Austria

 His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also visited the Austrian Pavilion, which is distinguished by its unique design, through 38 conical towers in the pavilion, in an expression of the combination between Austrian climate technology and traditional construction, which has characterized it for thousands of years and which mimics the idea of ​​traditional boilers, where these are used Conical shapes in construction in order to cool buildings without the need to use air conditioners, which helps to save about 70% of energy, in pursuit of a better and more sustainable future.

Further emphasizing the idea of ​​sustainability, the Austria Pavilion building was built from raw materials such as soil, silt and sand, while the pavilion also displays the great scientific and technological progress in Austria, which is reviewed by the section under the title "iLab", which presents an innovative set of ideas, creations and solutions. through which Austria seeks to achieve a better tomorrow.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's tour of the Expo also included a visit to the Colombian pavilion, which is located in the "Opportunities" area, which is distinguished by its transparent design that allows vision from various angles and corners, and which expresses Colombian openness and transparency, while the pavilion celebrates the ancient culture of the country. located in South America, especially for its unique musical rhythms.

His Highness listened to an explanation of the pavilion's celebration of the great contrasts in the territory of Colombia, which combines vibrant modern cities rich in innovation and business opportunities, while at the same time enjoying beautiful nature, snow-capped mountain peaks, large areas of water bodies, forests, high plains and deserts.
