Vladimir Putin reportedly ordered his men to make fake phone calls to British ministers last week in an attempt to distract from his actions in Ukraine.

At least that's what Prime Minister Boris Johnson's spokesman said on Monday, as reported by our colleagues from Bloomberg.

According to Max Blain, who spoke about it in the English press, the three recipients of these telephone pranks were Secretary of State for Defense Ben Wallace, Home Secretary Priti Patel and Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sports Nadine Dorries.

An investigation is underway

Two calls were made by imposters posing as Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Chmyhal.

These are absurd questions from the interlocutors who put the flea in the ear of the ministers and led to the end of the interviews, according to information from our colleagues.

According to Boris Johnson's spokesperson, these common practices should again be observed in the future.

Implemented by the Russian information operations services, they raise questions of security.

According to Bloomberg, quoting spokesperson Max Blain, an investigation has been opened to understand how the callers were able to get in touch with three British ministers so easily.
