China News Service, March 24th. According to comprehensive US media reports, on the 23rd local time, Madeleine Albright, the 64th US Secretary of State and the first female secretary of state in US history, died at the age of 84.

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Albright, the 64th Secretary of State of the United States and the first woman to hold this position, passed away earlier today," Albright's family said in a statement. She died of cancer."
Albright was born in Czechoslovakia in May 1937, and his family immigrated to the United States during World War II.
Albright, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and secretary of state from January 1997 to January 2001, was the first female U.S. secretary of state and the highest-ranking female official in the administration at the time.
