The US State Department has assessed that Russia is committing various forms of 'war crimes' in its invasion of Ukraine.



Based on the facts revealed during the invasion and unpublished intelligence, it was determined that Russia deliberately targeted civilians.

The US State Department conducts war crimes through the International Criminal Court. We decided to pursue measures to punish those involved.



It is estimated that 977 civilians, including 81 children, have been killed in Ukraine in the first month of the war in Russia's indiscriminate attack.



The UN Office for Human Rights also explained that the number of displaced people had risen to 3.6 million as the war continued.



In the midst of this, plans to deploy additional U.S. forces are being considered to strengthen security in Eastern Europe, which has become unstable after the Russian invasion.



President Biden, who visited Europe for the first time since the invasion, agreed to discuss ways to adjust military power in Eastern Europe with NATO leaders.
