According to on-site information, the orchard terraces in the crash area of MU5735 were impacted into flat ground and puddles, bamboos with thick thighs were torn and fell down, and some tree trunks were completely broken;
The rescue core area is about half the size of a football field, but the area where the plane wreckage is scattered is very large, and the search work is very difficult.
The crash area was surrounded by mountains on three sides and the mountain road was steep. The rescuers used their hands and feet to search and rescue.
The personal belongings of the missing persons, including wallets, ID cards, bank cards, etc., have been found at the scene of the core area of the crash.

the two black boxes on the plane have not been found.
The crash site of the plane is located in the mountains and forests, which increases the difficulty of searching for the black box.

China Eastern Airlines has contacted the families of all 123 passengers
, and has selected more than 160 assistance experts to form a working team to carry out family assistance work in an orderly manner.

The plane that crashed was B737-800 number B1791, which was introduced on June 22, 2015. As of the time of the accident, it had flown 8,986 sorties with a total of 18,239 hours.
The aircraft is 6.8 years old and
meets airworthiness requirements before takeoff.
The controller called the crew several times after seeing the plane's altitude drop sharply,
but received no response.
The aircraft was severely damaged in this accident, and the investigation was very difficult.
