The noise pollution linked to the intensive traffic of delivery people on scooters, particularly in areas where there are restaurants or the famous dark kitchens

is too much for local residents.
It was to respond to this that the mayor of the 17th arrondissement of Paris, Geoffroy Boulard decided "in connection with the delivery platforms, to create on an experimental basis a parking area at the corner of avenue de Villiers and boulevard Berthier”, according to the press release from the town hall.
The objective is to "protect a place where [the delivery people] can gather, and thus limit the repercussions of their activity on the local residents".
