The contracts procured by the Swedish Migration Agency relate to temporary housing and extend over a six-month period.

The housing is primarily for people who are covered by the right to protection according to the EU Mass Refugee Directive.

Which those who flee Ukraine are covered by.

One of the accommodations is Knebildstorp's hostel at Rotorp in Halmstad, where there are 96 places.

- We reasoned well that it is a nice thing to do, we all have to line up, says Carljohan Lagervall at Knebildstorps hostel.

The other accommodation is a course and camp site in Mäshult outside Skällinge in Varberg municipality, where there are 174 temporary places.

The Swedish Migration Agency already runs the Spenshult refugee accommodation outside Hyltebruk under its own auspices.

The municipalities have also prepared temporary places intended as housing while waiting for the Swedish Migration Board to have time to procure more long-term housing solutions for new arrivals.
