The court of Troyes (Aube) recently found a woman guilty of fraud.

The respondent, exercising the profession of seasonal wine employee, used a wooden check to recover in cash 1,850 euros in fact belonging to his daughter, says

She had acknowledged the scam and promised to reimburse the misappropriated amount.

Suspended fine

Due to a lack of resources, she did nothing and appeared in court.

She was sentenced to a fine of 2,000 euros fully suspended.

Following this fraud dating back to November 2020, the mother of the family had used the stolen sum to buy a washing machine and gambling.

The respondent and her daughter are now estranged.

The victim was forced to take out a consumer loan of 1,500 euros to cover the bank overdraft generated by his mother's actions.
