With its beautiful arts and music, its diverse colors, and the faces of its good people, Sudan attended, the day before yesterday, in Al Wasl Square, the beating heart of "Expo 2020 Dubai", celebrating its national day in the international exhibition, amid the flutter of flags and the crowd.

The celebration began with the ceremonies of raising the flags of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Sudan, on the platform of nations in Al Wasl Square.

The Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Muhammad Al-Kaabi, welcomed the Sudanese Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel-Qader, and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival at the site of the international event.

Noura Al Kaabi said: "The Sudan Pavilion offers innovative solutions to the world through unlimited opportunities in the fields of agriculture, agribusiness, industrial and mining, and showcases the inventions and innovations of young people that aim to provide solutions for individuals, governments, private and educational institutions and startups."

She stressed that "the strong relations between the UAE and Sudan are based on the concepts of brotherhood and mutual respect, and there is a lot that unites the two countries, from history to the common framework in which our two countries exist within the Arab and Islamic worlds.

We look forward to expanding our cooperation with Sudan in various fields of common interest.”

For his part, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader said: "We in Sudan were fully confident that our brothers in the UAE have the ability and creativity to organize (Expo 2020 Dubai) in an honorable manner worthy of the Emirati people, and all humanity, especially the Arab and Islamic nation, so we have the right to be proud of this wonderful organization." .

He added: “Our celebration of Sudan Day comes here in Al-Wasl Square, the center of the global political, economic, cultural, heritage, artistic and social event, to announce to the world that the land of Sudan is full of all good things, including agricultural lands, livestock, minerals and others, and all promising investment opportunities in several fields, as well as the diversity of Cultural, civilized, touristic, and above all, the human being of Sudan, who carries all the meanings of friendliness, tolerance, coexistence and welcoming everyone.

The words were followed by an artistic performance highlighting the ancient and diverse traditional music of Sudan.

The National Folk Dance Troupe, one of the best groups that represents the diversity of Sudan, participated in the show, and it consists of 50 dancers who perform more than 20 dances from all over the country, and their most famous dance is called the Halfa dance.

The pavilion of the Republic of Sudan is located in the Opportunities area of ​​​​"Expo 2020 Dubai", and bears the slogan "The Land of Endless Opportunities", and the design of the pavilion was inspired by the famous Nubian house with its environmentally friendly features.

The pavilion introduces visitors from all over the world to the ancient Sudanese culture and civilization, its kind and hospitable people, and the country's future vision.
