Low level of education inland in Västerbotten - digital fair should attract studies

Among the population inland, only about 15 percent have post-secondary education.

While the national figures are 29 percent, according to Akademi Norr.

- We must get more people inland to want to study if we are to pass the competence, says Martin Bergvall, operations manager for Akademi Norr.

Collaborates with universities

This is the second year that Akademi Norr has an online education fair.

Last year they had 20,000 unique visitors.

There are a lot of videos, articles and inspirational clips on display.

It collaborates with Umeå University, Luleå University of Technology and Mid Sweden University.

- We have received a completely different response from the universities for collaborating now than compared a few years ago, says Martin Bergvall, operations coordinator at Akademi Norr.

The fair is going online all this week.
