Japan: The UAE unites the world in the "Expo Dubai"

Commissioner-General of the Japan Pavilion, participating in Expo 2020 Dubai, Nakamura Tomiyasu, stressed that the UAE, as the first country to host this global event in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, played a very important role in reunifying the world during the activities of the international event, pointing out to "Expo Dubai" is a bridge paving the way for the preparation and organization of the activities of "Expo Osaka - Kansai 2025".

Tomiaso added, to "Emirates Today", that "Expo Dubai" provided young people with the opportunity to learn about innovative technologies and explore foreign companies, pointing out that the presence in Dubai, with its distinguished cultural diversity, is a great opportunity to communicate with nationalities from 190 countries and cultures at the same time. This event allowed the world to explore the fine talent and exceptional opportunities of this hospitable city.

He continued, "We tried to provide visitors with the opportunity to learn about the effectiveness and strength of teamwork, through our presentation with the latest technologies and innovations, as we collected data about the activities of the guests, digitized the data and presented it in a real presentation that embodies their journey."

"We got to know the opinions and visions of guests from around the world, to provide solutions and establish a brighter future on this earth," said Tomiaso, noting that the pavilion's activities attracted guests, celebrities, delegations and distinguished personalities from all over the world.

He believed that the theme of the pavilion "where ideas meet"... emphasizes the need to adopt common viewpoints, and the role of collective actions in solving environmental, societal and humanitarian challenges facing the world.

He explained: "The collaborative efforts for the success of this exhibition and our support for the design of our pavilion at (Expo Dubai) gained exceptional importance, to recognize the importance of cooperation and support on a global scale to make our society stronger and more interconnected.

We appreciate the efforts made by the UAE to host this event, especially in light of exceptional circumstances, as hosting an event of this importance for a period of six months is not easy.”

He continued: "Dubai is one of the world's cities with rich diversity. When I visit the city, I always feel active, as I see people from all over the world, and despite the different environment and atmosphere between Dubai and Japan, the desire to discover new places and cultures is a common thing between us." .

Tomiyasu indicated that he hopes that "Expo Dubai" will enhance the rapprochement between the UAE and Japan, expressing his appreciation and thanks to the organizers for their support to make this event a reality on the ground.

He pointed out that his country was able to meet wholesale challenges and devise a set of solutions that can be presented to the world, hoping that the Japan pavilion would have provided a platform for ideas from around the world to converge to foresee a better human future.

He stated that the contributions and ideas made by visitors to the Japan Pavilion at the "Osaka-Kansai 2025 Expo" in Japan will be shared, and will become part of the proposed solutions to establish a better world through cooperative efforts.

He explained that "unexpected travel restrictions hindered many plans around the world, but several pavilions provided distinguished experiences and offers for the guests of (Expo Dubai), and the conditions for receiving the vaccine and showing negative results for (Corona) examinations are among the most important measures that enhanced safety."

He stressed that he feels safe and comfortable after spending all this time at the "Expo Dubai" site, and hopes to encourage audiences from around the world to explore more about different cultures in the post-epidemic stage.
