Home care staff at Attendo have systematically registered visits that have not been carried out and at the same time invoiced the municipality, according to the investigation.
It was after receiving tips about irregularities in one of Attendo's home care areas that the municipality decided to physically monitor several addresses.
On two different dates, their scouts made several different observations that confirmed the suspected cheating.
Attendo states in a statement to the municipality that the errors could not be detected because they were certified by an employee in a managerial position.
It is also believed that during this period a new system was introduced which led to technical problems, which led to the possibilities for follow-up becoming more difficult.
