A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition on Monday after being shot in the head at close range, in Sarcelles (Val-d'Oise), according to testimonies.

The facts took place during a brawl, opposing about twenty people, reports La Gazette du Val-d'Oise.

Residents alerted the emergency services after hearing several explosions.

The teenager was taken care of by the firefighters and evacuated in absolute emergency to the Beaujon hospital center, in Clichy.

According to the latest information, his vital prognosis was no longer engaged the day after the attack.

A second injured

An investigation has been opened to try to identify the author of the shot and understand the origin of the brawl.

Another teenager, aged 16, was injured in the altercation.

He presented himself at the hospital, the victim of several bullet shots in the back and in the lower limbs.

This attempted murder took place a month after the death of a young man in his twenties, shot dead in the middle of the street, in a case of drug trafficking.
