Elizabeth Olympic Park (in English, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park) has assured this Wednesday that there has been a
leak of harmful gases
in its water park, which has caused respiratory problems in several people.
The London ambulance service has announced via Twitter that it was acting in an incident that occurred in the park, where it had sent several troops.
The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), in charge of managing the park, has assured that the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. and that the immediate area had been
cordoned off and evacuated
.
"There has been an incident at the London Aquatics Center... involving a gas leak," a spokesman stressed, later adding: "We are working closely with the emergency services on the ground. There are several victims with breathing difficulties who are being treated by the London Ambulance Service."
At the moment, the Metropolitan Police has only clarified that the incident was caused by a leak of harmful gases.
