The UN General Assembly has decided to pass a resolution calling for improved humanitarian conditions, such as the protection of citizens, over the situation in Ukraine, where civilian casualties continue to increase.

This is the second time that the UN General Assembly has passed the resolution, following the 2nd of this month, and Western countries would like to put pressure on Russia by adopting it with more approval than the previous time.

In Ukraine, where Russia has invaded the military, the situation is serious, with the number of civilian casualties increasing due to fierce battles and the number of people evacuating abroad.

Regarding this, France and Mexico have put together a resolution calling for the immediate suspension of hostilities, the protection of citizens and private institutions, and the security of humanitarian assistance, and at the UN General Assembly's emergency special meeting to be held from the 23rd. After the speeches by the representatives of each country, the vote will be held.

This is the second time that the UN General Assembly has passed a resolution since Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, following the 2nd of this month.

The resolution adopted on the 2nd of this month denounced Russia and called for the immediate withdrawal of troops, which was endorsed by 141 of the 193 UN member states, strongly impressing Russia's international isolation.

This resolution focuses on improving the humanitarian situation, and Western countries would like to put pressure on Russia by adopting it with the approval of more countries than the previous one.
