The bodies of two babies found Sunday morning in the freezer of a couple living in Marolles-en-Brie (Val-de-Marne), were autopsied on Monday.

The newborns died "by asphyxiation", following "pressure", according to information from Le

Parisien

.

It would therefore be a criminal act.

The mother, who was still in custody on Monday evening, would speak little and have a "mute attitude".

She would have just explained having made a denial of pregnancy after an affair.

His companion, a policeman in his thirties, would therefore not be the father of the babies.

Very shocked after the discovery of the two small bodies in the family freezer, he would have assured the investigators to have been aware of nothing.

A couple without history

The couple moved to Marolles-en-Brie a year ago.

The neighbors, in shock, evoke people without history and very pleasant.

For now, many gray areas remain to be clarified, such as the age of the babies and the date of their death.

DNA analyzes are also underway to establish the paternity of the children.

A judicial investigation should soon be opened.
