A well-organized chaos ”- start the clip to hear the family therapist Per Lundh, one of those who accompanied the bus from Grästorp to Poland.

Two weeks ago, municipal councilor Kent Larsson (M) came up with the proposal to send two buses to the Ukrainian border to bring home refugees.

Then it went fast.

The very next day, after an extra convened municipal council in Grästorp, the non-profit association “Grästorp for Ukraine was formed.

Two days later, the buses left.

- Yes, it went very fast.

We needed to help and we needed to do it now.

To be able to make a real difference and be able to make a difference directly, says Maria Toll (C), municipal councilor.

The municipality contacted the Swedish Migration Agency and when the buses arrived in Gothenburg, the passengers were registered, before moving on to Grästorp.

"Do you want to go to Sweden?"

On the way back, Per Lundh and others tried to find out which of the individuals belonged to the same family, to match against host families who had opened their homes to Ukrainian refugees.

- The children traveled with adults, so we did not think that there could be unaccompanied minors.

But then it turned out that this is the aunt of this child and then the social services law kicks in, so there was a little more to row with that we had not thought of.
