The number of Israelis killed in the ramming and stabbing operation in Beersheba has risen to 4, and the attacker died after being shot by a bus driver in the city center.

A young man, who Israeli sources said was from the Bedouin town of Hura in the Negev, hit pedestrians near a shopping center in the city center, then got out of his car and started stabbing them. The four injured people died.

The Israeli sources said that all the injured were in critical condition and all of them died.

The Israeli police sent reinforcements to the place and began a wide search for assistants, while Prime Minister Naftali Bennett rushed to chair a meeting to assess the security situation.

A spokesman for the Israeli police said that a wide sweep is taking place in the place and the surrounding areas, describing the attack as very dangerous.
