Few emergency places for refugees have so far been used in Halland's municipalities

During the weekend, 90 refugees from Ukraine left two of the emergency accommodation set up in Laholm municipality.

- When the Swedish Migration Agency empties these emergency housing, the people instead end up in one of the housing that the Swedish Migration Agency has procured, explains Thijs den Teuling, integration coordinator at the County Administrative Board in Halland County.

After that, 50 people arrived at a third, new, emergency accommodation in Laholm municipality.

48 people to Kungsbacka

- When they have emptied these first two premises, they must be put in order for a possible new reception.

On Monday, a bus with 48 people arrived in Kungsbacka municipality.

"Not that all seats are ready"

The remaining emergency housing in Halland is still empty.

- What the municipalities have submitted are potential places, but it is not the case that all places are ready now but they can be used fairly immediately, says Thijs den Teuling and adds:

- But from what we have heard, the reception has so far worked well.

It is a challenge for the municipalities, but they have succeeded and been prepared.
