Egypt exempts a certain category of citizens from taxes

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced the lifting of the personal tax exemption limit for some citizens who earn low salaries.

He explained that it was decided to raise the personal tax exemption limit from 9,000 pounds to 15,000 pounds, explaining that this means moving the tax exemption limit to include citizens whose income reaches 30,000 pounds annually, instead of the current limit of 24,000 pounds annually, which means that the citizen Whoever receives a monthly salary of 2500 pounds will not pay any taxes, and this is part of the state's contribution to alleviating the burdens on citizens.

It was also decided to add 450,000 new families to the "Solidarity and Karama" pension, at an additional annual cost of 2.4 billion pounds.

The president directed the provision of a large reserve in the next year’s budget, amounting to 130 billion pounds, to face the repercussions and burdens that are expected to continue if the current crisis is prolonged, so that through this reserve we try to absorb the bulk of the repercussions in relation to prices, to ease the burden on Citizen.
