The young woman, aged 24, is said to have driven the car from which two men allegedly shot the former Argentinian international on a boulevard in the 6th arrondissement, around 6 a.m. on Saturday, according to a source close to the investigation.

Arrested on Saturday at the end of the day and placed in police custody, she was presented on Tuesday to an investigating judge of the Paris judicial court who indicted her for "complicity in assassination and "refusal to hand over the convention of decryption of a means of cryptology," a judicial source told AFP.

The young woman refused to give the investigators the codes allowing them to access her telephone or her computer equipment.

She was remanded in custody by a liberty and detention judge.

"I call on the media to show restraint and modesty concerning this young woman who is presumed innocent", reacted to AFP his lawyer Me Florian Lastelle, without further comment.

The two men, aged around 30, were still wanted on Tuesday at the end of the day, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Federico Martin Aramburu, 42-year-old former Argentinian rugby international, was shot dead after an altercation in a bar in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

After a "dispute" at Le Mabillon bar, two groups were separated by bouncers, according to a police source, but the suspects "returned shortly afterwards with a vehicle and fired shots".

"Several impacts" of bullets were noted, added a source close to the investigation and the former player died on the spot as a result of his injuries.

According to the first elements, two men would have fired shots.

Both are far-right activists.

The woman driving the vehicle was close to one of them.

The prosecution opened a flagrance investigation for murder on Saturday, then a judicial investigation on Tuesday, entrusted to the criminal brigade.

"Absolute Nightmare"

A former Biarritz Olympique player, present on the spot and who wished to remain anonymous, had explained to AFP that, in the company of Federico Martin Aramburu, they were having a "last burger".

"There was an altercation as there can be at the end of the evening. It got sorted out but the men came back and targeted Aramburu who took three bullets," he said.

Federico Martin Aramburu, born in 1980, former center or winger for Biarritz (2004-2006), Perpignan (2006-2008) or Dax (2008-2010), had 22 selections with Argentina.

The former three-quarter had notably started in the match for 3rd place in the 2007 World Cup, won by the Argentines against the Blues (34-17), a meeting during which he scored a try.

Since retiring from sport, he lived in Biarritz and worked for a tourism company.

The world of rugby paid him many tributes.

Through the voice of their lawyer Me Yann Le Bras, his relatives called to let the police work calmly.

"For the family and his many friends, this March 19 has turned into an absolute nightmare. This heinous crime and his death leave each of them and beyond all the world of rugby stunned in unspeakable pain", he had written in a message sent to AFP on Sunday.
