Liquor production professionals recently announced, at a trade show in New York (USA), that the very first International Rum Summit (IRS) will be held in 2023.
The event will be organized in Guadeloupe from May 3 to 5.
It will aim to bring together various players in this sector and allow them to discuss important topics, explains

More than 20 countries represented
About 1,000 people should make the trip to Le Gosier next year for the occasion.
Producers, institutions, specialized media, distributors and buyers will have the opportunity to attend talks by some thirty speakers.
Industry players from more than 20 countries will be present.
Among the issues addressed will be the study courses allowing to evolve in the sector, the prospects for the rum market in the next ten years, the integration of the youngest professionals or the impact of new technologies on the culture of sugar cane and the production of alcohol.
