According to the Federal Ministry of Health, there should initially continue to be free corona citizen tests until the end of May.
The current Corona Test Ordinance, which also contains the citizen tests, expires on March 31st.
However, they would continue to be paid, said a ministry spokesman on Monday.
A corresponding regulation is being prepared, which should apply until the end of May.
The “Business Insider” portal had previously reported that the health and finance ministries are said to have agreed to guarantee federal funding for the tests for a further two months for the time being.
