For almost a month, the capital of the province of Soum, in the north of Burkina Faso, has been besieged by armed men.

And the herds can no longer go out to graze without risking raids.

According to several residents, the armed men are pushing them to leave the city.

A strategy of intimidation

 ", analyzes a local source, who believes that the terrorists are taking the population of Djibo hostage to negotiate from a position of strength with the local authorities.
